dual layer mini dvd disks. The HDR-UX1 can record in either standard or high definition.

The Sony HDR-UX1 is one of the newest high definition camcorders to use AVCHD compression and records to DVD. New high resolution 3.5 inch LCD touchscreen. Professional Carl Zeiss lens. Headphone, Microphone and HDMI jacks. Can record in Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound with built-in microphone. Active Interface Shoe (to easily add accessories), and a built in flash.
The UX1 can record up to 27 minutes of HD video per dual layer DVD disk. Plays back through the camera, an AVCHD player (such as blueray), or on your computer with included software.
