Dyson Major Subgroups - Here are the major subgroups of Dyson vacuums and the accessories that come with them. Also note the color that is associated with each model subgroup. Standard accessories are included with all dysons. All vacuum cleaners within a particular model number (DC14, DC15, etc.) are identical except for their color and the accessories included (see below).
Dyson Animal - The Dyson animal is by far the most popular Dyson vacuum subgroup. It is available for all four models. It is called the "Animal" for its ruthless approach to pet hair. Included is the Dyson turbo tool (which is great for pet hair removal), a low reach tool for getting under beds & furniture, and a carpet cleaning kit (pet messes). These accessories are geared for those with pets, but would be well suited for most users as well. The color of the Dyson Animal line is purple. Dyson All Floors - The Dyson All Floors vacuum as with all Dyson vacuums can vacuum hard floors or carpet. There is a beater bar cut off switch when you are doing hard floors. (This feature is included on ALL Dyson vacuums, not just the "All Floors"). The color of the All Floors line is yellow. This version of Dyson comes with the standard tools, but no additional tools or accessories like the Dyson Animal. This is the least expensive Dyson subgroup in each model version.
